Do these typically come with the same type of bench? Is it normally an artist bench?

I'd bet you could get any bench you wanted with it, but normally I think the Kawais, except for Shigerus didn't come with any benches for some reason. Maybe at one time Kawai thought it would be a good sales strategy to 'offer' a bench at no additional cost if they felt a sale was slipping.

When I was piano shopping a while back I learned that depending on the dealer you could get an artist bench (are they called jensen artist benches?) included for any level of piano. Of course the price of the piano takes this into consideration, so you'll not save the $200 or so dollars off the piano price.

In North America, the bench with the new RX BLAK series depends on the finish of the piano.

If it is Ebony {BLAK in black ;-D } it is currently supplied with an adjustable, padded top artist-type bench. The wood finish models come with a hard top matching duet bench.

Most dealers can change the bench for you, of course.

An artist bench was included with my K-2.

In the U.S., all new Kawai pianos include a bench. Some are artist style, some not. But they all ship from the factory with benches.

My new RX-2 BLAK polished ebony came with a very nice, adjustable padded artist bench. It is not very big but it's fine for now.

Right Don! Benjamin Kim did just that for me! My Kawai is an RX 6. I'm totally in love with this piano!
