I was on vacation this week and spent a large amount shopping for a Piano for my 13 year old daughter. After trying way to many pianos, it became apparent that my daughter is a Kawai girl.

Here dream piano was always a K3. She was also fine with the K2.

Well, we went to a Kawai dealer 90 miles from my house. She played a K2 & K3. The owner of the store was great to work with. He answered all of my daughters and my questions. There was never any pressure. In the end he said she really played nice and that she really needed to be in a K3. He backed this statement up with an extremely good price. There was absolutely no hassle. In the end it was an easy decision to buy the K3.

If you are in the market for a Kawai in southwest Wisconsin region I highly suggest you give Martin's Piano and Organ a try. I know you will not be disappointed.

Congrats on the new addition to your family. Sounds like she got the piano she wanted, which is what you strive for when buying a piano.

What a lucky girl!

We are now back from our piano hunting buying trip. My daughter is way beyond excited! Her mouth just never stops. She has texted all of her friends. She is also playing the clavinova constantly.

My wife and I may not be able to survive her excitement for the next 7 days prior to delivery. I am going to drink a beer as preventative medicine.

Congratulations, JJJJ, on your new K3. Your daughter's reaction confirms what I suspected would happen if you stretched for the K3--I'm glad you did. Now the only slightly more complicated question of what kind of beer to drink. I recommend Sam Adams.

Monica, I appreciated your advice regarding stretching the budget. I just did not think I would be successful in getting the K3 to a price I would feel comfortable stretching too. I am not a good back and forth negotiator.

I was very fortunate to find a dealer who was easy to work with. I have not had this good a buying experience for any type purchase in many many years!

Needless to say I am also very happy.

Of by the way the critical choice of the day was Heineken Light. I was out of Sam Smiths Nut brown Ale.

Congrats to you, and what a great Dad you are! Kudos to your dealer-- I had a great experience with Benjamin Kim in Garden Grove, CA--I wish more business people would take the lessons from Kim's Piano and Martin's. There really is an art to taking time to make the client feel at ease stretching their budget and making that POSSIBLE.
