Ok I have this piece stuck in my head recently for some reason, but I can't remember what it is. I thought is one of the Chopin's nocturnes, but I checked my scorebook and it's not. It's in F major or something close to it according to my ear. And the melody goes like this:
C F- E F G---- A A G A---- Bb Bb A D'-- C' Bb E F G---- A A G F---
Sorry about my notation. A dash means an extra beat and D' C' means the D and C on a higher octave. Can anyone help?

I don't know if other have similar experience, but different scale give me a different feeling. The kind, considerate opening is how I feel about F major, and I can't help but think that it's going to sound better if it's in F major. But hey I'm not Chopin, and when I learn the piece I'll also try it in F major just to see.
