I found the most wonderful piano book (easy piano, but not that easy) by Hal Leonard, "THe Most Beautiful Classical Melodies". There are 46 melodies, such as Handel's He Shall Feed His Flock & Pastoral Symphony, Humperdinck's Evening Prayer from Hansel and Gretel, Mozart's Laudate Dominum, Franck's Panis Angelicus, Sleeping Beauty Waltz by Tchaikovsky, Spring by Vivaldi, etc. They are wonderful arrangements that are very playable for students in their third year on (or earlier if they are advanced. IMO they seem to be quite true to the original songs, yet unlike many easy arrangements that leave one disappointed, I found each one to be incredibly lovely and hope my students find them as wonderful as I do. If anyone has used this book, I'd love to hear your opinions.
