Thanks Jurgen! It really is an interesting book. It has a lot about the history and lore surrounding hide glue as well as chemical analysis and descriptions of many of applications of this amazing adhesive. For instance, I had never heard that treating metals with garlic can help improve hide glues ability to bond.

I'm really looking forward to meeting Mr. Shepherd. I'm sure this class is going to create some buzz at the convention!
