ABRSM Jazz Technique Question

I would like to use the ABRSM Jazz Exam requirements to help structure the study of some of my students. I have a question about the technical requirements. When they ask for the "common chords" of a key, do they mean the primary chords (I, IV, V), or all diatonic triads, or something else?

They just mean that the chord hasn't been altered. So: the common chord of C Major consists of C E and G.
In jazz the chords are so often more complex than this that it's worth stating that the arpeggios are not any more difficult than simply the 'common' chord.....

ABRSM also publish a scales book (Grades 1-5 all in the one volume), which helps teachers/students be certain they are doing the right thing for assessment purposes!

I tried to order the scales book but my supplier was having trouble getting it. I will get it eventually but wanted to start working with the levels immediately. I really appreciate your help.
