Very mellow, if a little melancholy! The chord progression at 20s to 35s was very unexpected and sounded really good. What was it?

Thanks Shifty! To tell you the truth, I'd have to go back and analyze the progression. I compose from the heart these days - pure emotion. From the heart to the keys, so to speak.

Probably something I picked up from Gershwin along the way. grin

Best, John smile

John!
It's great in its poignancy. I'm like you in that when I write, it is an emotional expression.

To write well w/the right balance of sound and space + the trade off with the violin; very nicely executed!

Quite interesting, I like the mood you developed smile

But one thing, to me its title doesn't really fit the music. It didn't really feel very 'warm' to me, especially at the start it made me feel more cold haha.. but that's just my opinion.

I think we must share a large amount of overlap in taste, John. There is nothing you have posted anywhere I have not liked, irrespective of style, and this is no exception. You are a lesson to all of us in that technical complexity and musical power are completely independent, and the former is not sufficient to produce the latter. For what my personal reaction is worth, this one sounded "English" - you know, sort of John Ireland, Frank Bridge and company - it's a very compelling mood.

Thanks Linus! Maybe I could name it "Warm & Cold" laugh
