Last Monday night my husband and I parked in "Jack in the Box" for a fun dinner out eating in the car listening to an hour's concert by Carol Montparker. Then we drove to the nearby library where we parked again while continuing to listen to the CD from "Polly and the Piano" a children's book she wrote and illustrated about her dog. Such glorious classical music! Then I returned the book and CD to the library for other patrons to enjoy.
Go to
www.montparker.com and find some of the music Carol Montparker plays on her site. She is a Steinway artist and a long term piano teacher of master class proportions, Carnegie Hall performances, she's an artist and an author. She also wrote columns for many years in "Clavier" magazine. She does school music programs on her "Polly" book.
I read everything on her website and then I saved everything I could find to my favorites to listen again and again.
Her books:
The Anatomy of a New York Debut Recital,
A Pianist's Landscape,
The Blue Piano and other Stories, and
Polly and the Piano.
I'm sharing a little bit of what I found here with you:
