Interesting...however her antics on- and off-stage make Lang Lang seem conservative by comparison. laugh

Not surprising. She's been playing since she was 4.

lol lady gaga playing maple leaf, anyone know why she was playing that? Seemed like she forgot the rest of it at the end of that video.

That was the worst version of Maple leaf I've ever heard, she started and stopped multiple times, she didn't know the piece very well at all. I can't imagine what possessed her to play that in front of people. If she was trying to show off her chops she failed dismally.

I just thought it cool that she's playing Joplin! She's played the piano since age 4 - if you read her bio, she's truly a talent.

PS-I'm not even a fan. I stumbled across that link (above) on a Scott Joplin fan page.

PPS-I'm guessing she didn't commit MLR to memory and was just messing around. It certainly isn't the "worst version ever", but that's just my opinion.

Lady Gaga recipe:

1 part nasal (a la Fran Drescher) raspy voice
1 part mediocre talent (at best) like Gene Simmons singing ability. Kizz remember!

1 part Gene Simmons (Kizz) makeup/sideshow act
1 part unending antics creating media attention.

Say what you want but her recipe works; she's probably a multi millionaire!.

So were the Go-go's, Cyndie Lauper, Blondie and on... All multimillionaire singers...ish. Maybe not pure singers, throw in a pinch of entertainer just to be safe!

I'm sure she has some amount of talent, and she definitely has a formula that works for her, as far as impressing an audience, and making money with her music. I just don't know what possessed her to play a piece she obviously didn't know very well in front of a large crowd.

That wasn't all that bad, actually. Barefoot, too!
