I am looking at buying a Kawai CP207 that was purchased new in box in January of this year (2010). It is virtually unused and in perfect like new condition. What would be a fair price for this model? Also what is better about the new Kawai CP209 vs. the CP207? Are there any other brands/models that are comparable to the CP207 that should be available for a much lower price? Thank you, in advance for any thoughts on these questions!

I dont know it, but i believe, the CP207 and 209 are very different.
I think the 207's technology is several years old and has no support for USB thumbdrives or something else. Uses diskettes.
They still are very expensive and I think that is for the grand piano cabinet.

I dont know about the CP209, but here is my alternative:
Get an MP8II, an Korg PA2x, a high end audio system and speakers and a computer.
Then find a cabinet maker who will fit this alltogether into a personally customized stylized grand piano cabinet. This combination shoudl be unbeatable for MIDI functionality, sequencing and sound and touch and should not cost more ;-) It will have 2 keyboards, one 88 key grand piano and one 76 key organ with aftertouch and a motorized color touchscreen and an industry leading double sequencer ;-)
Probably this system is cheaper....
