I'm liking the sound of the Galaxy Vintage D. I already own Ivory, NY Grand and Alicia Keys of which Ivory especially the C7/8 and Italian Grand are my favorites.
Any gotcha's with this piano?

I do pop and jazz and virtually no classical.

So what is the best place, speed and reliability wise to download/purchase the Vintage D?

I'm in USA fwiw.

TIA!

I haven't seen it available to buy through any channels other than through galaxypianos.com.

Thanks pkdd !!

I haven't either which is why I asked.

Any gotcha's with this VSTi?

It sure sounds sweet to me and I'm pretty fussy.

If you buy the downloadable version, be sure to read the specs. A while back the downloadable version of Galaxy II lacked some features of the boxed version. (I haven't checked Best Service re the Vintage D.)

There was some discussion of this on the Galaxypianos forum and the download edition of the Vintage D is indeed the full version. It's a 5GB download so it took me a while to download it but it installed without any problems and it sounds great.

The current download version of Vintage D is the full version.
They plan a downstripped download edition that will be cheaper.

These download versions already exist for Galaxy II. They are smaller, because they dont use 88 key sampling, support 16 bits only and have no soft pedal.

The advantage is that they rum from a slow disk or USB stick, because large portions are held in RAM.

But this does not apply to the current Vintage download edition. That is a full version.

Also I think Bestservice is currently the best place to purchase because they have produced the galaxy pianos.

Thanks Peter for the clarification!
I have a fast link so I'll go with the download.
