I just recently bought a box of tools at a yard sale, and this strange looking wrench caught my eye. After doing a bit of searching on the computer, I have found out it is a piano tuning hammer. It is just under 11&1/4 inches with a heavy black 9 inch handle, on the other end is a screw, for exchanging heads? The head on it is about 3&1/4 inches with a 8 sided star about 5/16 inches. On the head is stamped Joe Kulicek and under that is Chicago. Can anyone tell me something about the Joe Kulicek Tool Company and this hammer. Or could you maybe point me in a direction where I could get more info. I get nowhere in the search engines.

Yeah! Joe owes me $50 and I haven't been able to find him either. Let me know if you get any leads.
Seriously, welcome to Piano World. If someone here knows, I am sure they will mention it. Good Luck!

People have been known to stamp their own names on their tools. It is likely this was owned by Joe Kulicek, not made by him.
