I recently discovered CalikoKat on YouTube. If you haven't had the pleasure of hearing him play, I would suggest you search on CalikoKat and YouTube and take a listen. He plays a lot of music that beginners may wish to include in the inventory of songs they can play ... eventually.

If you have heard him play, I was wondering if anyone has been able to figure out where he gets his sheet music ? I see that many have posted messages with his YouTube music, asking for the music but he never seems to respond to those requests.

Just wondering if anyone here has any information about that ?

CalikoKat doesn't follow the sheet music accurately.
What I like about him is that he uses very simple arrangements than what is written in the sheet and still obtain a full sounding harmonization.

He seems to be using fake books, which would also explain how he learns so many pieces and in a short amount of time as well or otherwise he just read the right hand part.

When he is using sheets he probably buys them at sheetmusicdirect or other similar websites.

Even though this topic is over 2 months old, I'm posting now because I also just discovered Calikokat on Youtube and was impressed and searched to see if he was on here. Studying each song, either does use a fake book or the chords in sheet music and then incorporates 10ths and octaves as the chord progressions. Pretty easy in concept but he implements it well. His slow songs, such as "Time After Time" and "White Horse" are simple but gorgeously so.
