Hi, has anyone come across this brand of electric piano, heres a link to the site. There is little or no feedback online from people who may have bought one of them. I am very interested to know more.

I don't know Chase pianos but I would strongly advise you don't risk buying one without at least trying it first. Generally speaking you get what you pay for and Chase are very cheap. They might be great but I haven't found any reviews online and that's never a good sign.

If you can try them and ideally compare them to respected makes like Yamaha, Roland, Kawai, Korg and Casio I would at least consider them since they could be a real bargain, they seem to have excellent specs for the price. Pay careful attention to how the keyboard feels (some cheap weighted actions are TERRIBLE!) how do the voices sound through good headphones and through the built in speakers. What is the build quality like. You also need to consider that without speaking to existing Chase owners you have no idea how the after sales service is.

Bear in mind that the Korg SP170 and Casio PX130 aren't that much more expensive and are excellent instruments.

If you can't try before you buy avoid it like the plague!

You might consider second hand if your budget is tight, I bought my SP200 second hand about 8 months ago for just over £200 and I'm very pleased with it, the pianos aren't nearly as good as current models but they're OK and the keyboard is a decent weighted action. Hooked up to software pianos on my computer it plays beautifully. You might be able to find a similar bargain.

Many thanks Bazc. I contacted them and asked them for a sample of keyboard sounds and they replied they hadn't got any! So mI will take your advice and steer clear for now anyway.

Always a good idea to get your hands actually on to what you are considering.
