Hi all,
I have record midi files using my keyboard (Casio PX330) with cubase. My computer recognizes my keyboard as a USB audio device. I have recorded some piano sound, EP sound and organ...

However, when I play back the midi files, what I have record can be playing in a piano sound. Does anyone know how do I changed the playback sound?

MIDI does not transmit sound, only the key presses.

I assume you mean you are playing back the MIDI recording on the computer and not sending the file back to the Casio piano. If so you need to assign some other virtual instrument to the MIDI track in Cubase.

Yes... that's what I mean.

My Casio PX330 is not only a DP but also act as an USB audio device...

I do not need assign any VST in my cubase in order to hear sound. I can actually hear sound FROM MY PX330 (directly from its speaker), after I pressed "play" in Cubase. But all sounds and tracks can be played back in piano sound. And my question is how do I change that?

You must record in different channels and track in Cubase, then assign instrument in cubase for playback. May be you use one track for all instruments and playback use one instrument assign for this track

You can select the play back voices in Cubase. There are 128 GM voices that your keydoard can recognise.

I do it with my PX-310. I can record multiple midi tracks (up to 16) and play them back all at the same time with each track assigned to a different voice.

The place to select voices and assign them to a specific midi channel is in the Cubase inspector window.

Thank you Joe...

Now, my further question will be a bit specific.
I figure out now how to change voices in each track. My further questions is...
There are sounds that are not in the GM list, but in my DP. They are also shown in the display of my DP too. For example..
Grand piano modern, LA piano, Dyno elec. piano, Strings piano and so on...

How do I get my DP to play back using these sounds?
