Hi, I want to buy a new digital piano. The model I think i'll buy is the Kawai CN23. Does it sound real? Does the touch feel real? What is the price of the instrument in canada? I want some opinions on this DP.
What model of digital piano is the the best in term of touch and sound without extreme price? I don't want ten thousand sounds, I will be very happy only with an acoustic grand piano sound. Realistic touch and sound is really important for me. $1500 or less... (Canadian Dollar)
Many questions...but it will help me a lot.

I've never played the CN23. I would ignore the voices and speaker system, it's the easiest thing to change about a DP. I'd spend all your time finding the touch you like.

i should go to a music store.. i have a very little bugdet, and thats the problem. DP are expensive. ( exepted my Yamaha DP with 60 platic keys and not touch sensitive.)

Hi Pozine,
I am considering to buy a CN23 or CN33,too. I'ne tried Kawai CN22 and CN32s keyboards up to now and liked the touch. And in the new model, there are improvements about the "hammer action" I already have an acoustic and need a DP for practising at night or for long hours and i don't want my fingers to get lazy on a DP keyboard, so the touch sensitivity was the most important issue for me. I tried Yamaha Clavinova, Casio AP, Roland RP and Kawai, but liked Kawais touch at most. You should try it in the shop with other brands and models to decide.

Mawima graciously provided us with three DPBSD MP3 files of his Kawai CN33 - the three main pianos in there. They are now posted over in the DPBSD Project Files @ MediaFire if you want to give them a listen (\dpbsd_mp3s\Kawai\). I'll do a full review soon. Please be aware that there is no sympathetic resonance going on in the MP3 files (played via MIDI), but these effects do seem to work when playing the keyboard directly.
