I don't blame you. I'd be counting the minutes too.

This is a photo of me playing this afternoon. A photo i didn't know was taken which my lovely husband put on Facebook. Not a problem however I have had 2 people so far over to have a look and one coming at 7.30 tonight after dinner. It had ranged from one neighbour who wanted to have a bash as she hasnt played since a young child - The beginnings of Fur Elise were emerging. The second was my lovely neighbour who is a music teacher and sight read my stuff better than I actually played it - which I really enjoyed Who knows what the third will bring.....oh and lets not forget the dog who has to be in every piccie

Your piano has a guard dog! Color coordinated, too. Neat.
Congratulations. It's beautiful. (The dog looks good, too.)

Where did you get your piano, MichelleM? It looks great. I have a 1984 C5.

Our house is massively open planned so the air circulation is great. Also that spot never has the sun on it so it will out of the sunlight. The entire wall on the right has 6 massive sliding doors which open the house into the back garden. The piano is not actually that close to the kitchen either. The dog loves to sit under the piano. His bed is behind the stool but for some reason he started to sit on the rug yesterday. He is deaf so I was thinking is must be the vibrations he must like. I bought it from Boyds - The Piano Shop, in Brisbane. Had a wonderful time playing the different pianos once I got my confidence up and Jason was very patient with myself and my teacher. Anyway here is another photo. Ill take one from the dining area on the other side later and post that too. You can see the dog asleep on his bed where he is meant to be behind the piano.

My cats all like to jump up on the piano's lid and sit behind the music rack when I play. I think they must be deaf too... or just have really bad taste in music!!
BTW -- LOVE YOUR PIANO!! It looks really fantastic in that giant room. Good thing you got a C5 instead of a C1!

Very nice piano! Also, you made a good choice to acquire an Artist's Bench along with your new piano. Having an adjustable seat is very helpful, and think of the cachet of having it!

Congratulations, Michelle. Your new piano looks terrific in your home. I'm sure it sounds as good as it looks, too.

Congratulations Michelle, to the new grand and the careful deaf dog guarding it. There is nearly nothing in life like waiting on a piano - only wedding maybe. May the joy of pianoplaying stay with you, with your husband ... and with your neighbours.. .. for a long looong time.

MichelleMDid you keep your Clavinova? Yes I did. I figured I didnt want to kill every piece of music for my husband. We both work from home so there isnt really a time when he is out and I can play as loudly as I want. I will use the Clavinova to learn new pieces and then I will master them on the the Grand. At least that way the neighbours wont realise how truly bad I really am either.

Well, you just might stop playing your Clavinova and could care less about anyone else. I'm warning you now . When no one is home I open the lid all the way up and remove the music desk. I don't have carpet or a rug (yet) so it gets VERY loud. And fun!
