I just returned an almost-year-old PX-120 to Costco for a full and painless refund, when it developed a glitch with its rhythms. I'd by my replacement from them in a minute, if only they carried the model I wanted. But since they don't, I need to buy from someone else.
Given my experience, I'm willing to pay a bit more for a good warranty or return policy. So who should I buy my next DP from? (I'm in the USA)

Sweetwater has pretty good customer service, Also they give a "free" two year warranty with everything they sell, although this is moot for many DPs as they already have longer factory warranty. I hear good things about Kraft too but have never dealt with them.
But don't expect anyone else to offer a full refund on a one year old DP.

I read somewhere on this forum PX-330 had a 3-year warrenty, but when I checked on the CasioUSA website they said musical instruments have a 1-year warranty. Does anyone know any more about this? Might the warranty be of different lengths in different countries?
So I was looking at Sweetwater, because of their a 2-year warranty.
But I agree, Costco is in a league of its own.

Warranty in the UK for Privia is 3 years from Casio. See http://www.casio.co.uk/3yearwarranty/ I don't know if this offer is available in the US. Make a fuss if it's not.

I've had good luck with Sweetwater. You can read their warranty, return policy, service agreement on their website--- it's all spelled out--- or call them and ask.
Understanding the policies is pretty important if there's a problem. Or if there isn't--- well, then parsing through it may not be very important. That leaves more attention for making sense of the manual...

I'd give another vote for Sweetwater. They'll help you avoid making a mistake in the first place and they have great customer service. Too bad you're so far away, their facility is amazing. They have a performing/recording studio that hosts talent all the time.

Kraft music are the only ones I've had experience with, and they have a great policy of paying for return shipping cost if there is a defect with the product. Casio only has a 1 year warranty here in the States, but Yamaha is 3 years and you can take them to any authorized Yamaha dealer, doesn't have to be where you bought it from. I'm not sure how the Pacific Northwest is, but in Los Angeles there are like 20 places authorized by Yamaha for repair, so rather than ship it back I should be pretty set. Friends of mine say Guitar Center has a great return policy, but I never looked into it much since I wasn't overly pleased with the guy selling digital pianos at the one near me.
