Regarding the CDP100 and PX130

Before you all groan and collectively sigh that this question has been asked only 437 times before, please hear me out before telling me that this question has been asked only 437 times before.
I'm looking for the cheapest digital piano there is. From doing various searches it seemed the Casio CDP100 was the best bet, so I went to Guitar Center to try one out. I didn't like it; I felt the keys took too much force to get going down, and then fully depress with much less force. Same thing coming back up. While it was certainly playable, it didn't hook me.
I tried the PX130 and, while it was markedly better, it's out of my ideal price range. Ideally, I want to spend $300-$350. Craigslist hasn't much better to offer: I found a Korg DP3000-C for $150, a PX700 for $350, and a Yamaha P70 for $450, along with a bunch of other non/"lightly-weighted" pianos. I'm tempted by the Yamaha, but it doesn't seem like it's worth that price (here or on eBay).
Having practiced regularly for 13 years on three pianos (a light and springy Steinway grand, another grand whose keys were heavy as hell, and an upright), I wish I could like the CDP100 but I can't. My next best option is to save up for the PX130, correct? I couldn't find reference to anything comparable in that price range.
Thank you!

I wasn't keen on the CDP100 either and like you I didn't fancy spending the money on a PX130. In the end I bought a used PX110 from Ebay for £150 (UKP). I love it to bits, but having played it for about 10 months I'm starting to think that I may trade it for a new PX130, because that keyboard has better sounds.

The PX130 sells on-line for $450. The everyday price is $500 but gettin 10% off is easy, maybe you can swing 15%.
The other piano in that price range is the Korg SP170.
It's hard to buy a used DP. Not all models are available. and you mostly don't want a very old DP and sellers tend to over price them making the new models more attractive.

Kerblam The PX-130 is an improvement over the PX-110 that you have. The major thing that was improved was adding a 4layer piano sample.Casio did some improvement on the action adding a third sensor to help with repeating notes faster. The action also does not seem as stiff and is quiter than the older Privias like your PX-110. Overall, I think the sound quality is better on the older Privias that used the (ZPI sound source). However they had low polyphony and could drop notes although I doubt there is much problem unless you are layering sounds or playing with accompaniment. I don't know if you use the built in rhythms on your PX-110 but those were taken off of the PX-130. There is a metronome however. Price wise, the PX-130 frequently goes on sale for $399 which is the same price the CDP-100 sells for.
Korg does make a low end digital piano--SP170. I played one recently but didn't think much of the touch or sound. I think Korg cut some corners to keep cost down.

Thanks for the replies, guys. Got some more questions and a better mindset now for what I should do. Thank you Philzpiano and ChrisA for your thoughts. @dewster: I don't recall having tried it. Maybe I'll head back to GC and have a play. But it's out of my range, so hopefully it won't amaze me @galaxy4t: I don't have a PX110, that would be Philzpiano up above. But thanks for the explanation regarding the advancements. I do play a lot of music with rapid sections/repeating notes, so that would help. I recently found a Yamaha P80 for $280 and a P70 for $240. I believe I read here that despite the succession in model names they are two completely different beasts. The P80 is extremely tempting, if nothing is wonky about it I might have to spring. Your thoughts? Otherwise I'll go for a used PX130 locally. Thanks again!

Bump. Looking for a few last opinions before I set out to buy that P80. Even though it's now a ~11 year old piano I'm still holding out for the Yamaha key action.
