I've been using LinuxSampler to play a free sampled piano, Mats Helgesson's Maestro Concert Grand, a Yamaha CF-3, and I liked it enough to try a commercial sample. I purchased the downloadable version of Sampletekk's Yamaha CF7 Jr, only to discover that it required Gigastudio to assemble it in usable format, which was not mentioned in the FAQ. LinuxSampler's editor is, um, beta, and doesn't do files over 2Gig. I emailed Per at Sampletekk about my predicament, and he emailed me back telling me he was sending me a DVD with the Gigafile version. A very pleasant surprise.

BTW, Sampletekk is having a 50% sale.

So the Harpsichord is $6. Hard to pass up on a deal like that. At $50 per piano they are already reasonably priced but now at $25 I may buy another Steinway sample set.
