I just ordered p155, $1000.00, no tax.

I was happy with my purchase until I realized that I ordered just p155. I wanted black and I totally forgot :'(. Also I got a shipping confirmation email already. I guess I am stuck with that. Boooooooooo

Mahogany is not bad, but I thought I like black more.

I don't want to pay the shipping fee for exchanging frown

it doesn't hurt to try calling back and changing the order.

I don't know where he bought it, but a shipping confirmation hardly means it's shipped. It means the seller has electronically sent the shipment info to UPS, Fedex, etc. If it shows that the shipping company has the item, then you are correct.

So mahogany is not that bad either, then. Color isn't everything on a keyboard. You'll like it just as well, even if you prefer black. Pretend that black was out and you didn't have a choice and ordered mahogany anyway because the color is no big deal.

Yes, that and the feel of the keyboard.

Cheers,

You can always refuse the delivery and have UPS send it back. The proceed with an exchange.

Not if they don't require signature and just leave it at the front door. Also the store may require a restocking fee, plus not refund shipping costs both ways, plus the new shipping & handling cost for the exchange. It can be done but it's not simple anymore, and the question is whether it's worth the hassle and extra costs.

Thank god Germany has a special law that enforces 14day money back guarantee for internet purchases. You can send anything not specificially customized/produced for you back to the store and get full money refund. You even don't have to pay for sending back the purchase.

Sorry, doesn't help you, but FYI in case someone orders from Germany (no shipping might not apply for order outside of Germany).

Talk to the dealer, explain that you want a black one and that you ordered the mahogany one by mistake, say that you'll pay for the extra shipping, refuse the delivery from UPS, have the dealer send you a black one. Any reasonable dealer should go along with that - if they get weird, refuse delivery and file a grievance with VISA if they won't give you a refund minus shipping costs. Then buy a black one from someone else. I've found that the VISA disputes folks are effective.

You gotta look at your 155 for a while now - get what you want to look at and feel good about.

And don't open the box... returns must typically be in new condition and contain all the original packing material, parts, manual, unused warranty card, etc.

If it was your own mistake, it's not unreasonable for you to pay the shipping.

I would talk to the dealer before I did anything. It's just the right thing to do. After all, while I sympathize with your predicament and understand wanting the color you prefer, the dealer complied with your order. They even promptly shipped it.

I expect they will help you out. I'm just not on board with talk of just refusing shipments or opening credit card disputes when the dealer didn't do anything wrong. Again, I would expect they will exchange it for the color you want, but there is a right and wrong way to go about it.
