This is the only invention which I completely taught myself so I'd really appreciate any feedback you can give. I haven't been learning the piano for long but I've been very passionate about it.

Hello Mr. Dude smile , I liked your performance, your right hand (we cannot see the left) seems relaxed and secure. The sound is also nice, keep going.

cheers

Most excellent, dude!

Are you taking lessons or teaching yourself completely?

My impression, based on the ease with which you played the Invention, is that you could easily handle considerably harder pieces . Have you played more advanced works also?

Wow thanks, yes I've been having lessons for just over a year, When I started lessons I tried to learn pictures at an exhibition which proved to be very difficult so I only learned a few movements of that. I'm now working on Debussy's Estampes and have just started Bach's concerto No. 7 because if I learn it there's a string orchestra I could perform it with.

James, you used to play by yourself and then began taking lessons? How many time you play total since you firstly put your hands on a keyboard?

cheers

I had a piano in the house my whole life and liked to improvise and play things by ear but only learnt one or two simple pieces. I started playing really seriously the christmas before last and then started lessons in June last year.
