The key cover on my old Clavinova CLP-560 is stuck. I can pull it out partway at an angle but that's all.

I figure it should be easy to fix if I open things up. Has anyone dealt with the problem? Is it easy to open and access that part of the piano?

I think they use spring metal, or at least that's what my old clav had, you'll need to take the top off and have a look.

If it is spring metal and maybe it's bent or something, you could probably just take it out. I think it's only there to assist you opening the lid.

I could however be totally wrong so the only way to find out is to get the lid off I'm afraid.

Sorry I couldn't be any more help.

I dont know this particular model.

What i have seen with my Kawai and previously with my Yamaha CVP is a long axis with adjustable gearwheels on both sides.
If there is somthing in the wheels or if it is broken it can block.

Sorry my english is not good enough to give a better description.
If you open it, it should become obvious, it should be the very first thing you see when you remove the top board.

To open you will probably need to remove some screws at the rear and at the sides.
To access these screws you must possibly remove both boards at the side or some decorative knobs that hide the screws.
