David--Loved this piece so much that I started looking for the sheet music on line. Does anyone know where Melancholy of Love can be purchased in the US? I looked at Musicnotes and Sheet Music Plus and they didn't have it listed either by the name of the piece or the book, Romantic Pop Piano-Gold Edition that it is apparently in. I even tried Amazon and e-bay to no avail. I would love to learn to play this beautiful piece!

Looks like you can get it shipped from Musicroom though it's £4.99 shipping.

EUAN- Wonderful playing! Monica played this a couple recitals ago and after hearing it again ,now, it's still my favorite Einaudi piece. The slide show was a perfect backdrop to your performance. Loved the sound-great recording.

RICKSTER-You're definitely our "resident poet" at the piano! You're amazing to be blessed with such wonderful song-writing ability.

BILL-"Duncan" is fabulous! Your son's voice and yours complement each other so well (I know you're related, but many who are related don't have that great "blend"). Fantastic guitar! Thank you for posting this!

Thanks, Andy. I ordered it from your link. I've never ordered anything outside of the US before, so hopefully the order will go through smoothly.

Glen, once again, I love your piano playing and I love the tone of your Steinway grand!

Bill, I didn’t know you could play the guitar so well!! You are indeed multitalented! And, your son has a very good singing voice (takes after his dad… :-) and I enjoyed the duet of Duncan.

CMohr, thanks for the comments about the poet! Don’t know if I’m a poet or not, but I do like poetry!

Take care,

Rick

I hope so to or I'll be in trouble wink

The UK isn't quite as third world as my mother-in-law makes it out to be. "They have that in England, really?" (I'm a British ex-pat living in the US). Though I think that's a generational thing because my mother is the same about the US even though she's been here more than ten times!

Bill,
The guitar was fantastic and even moreso was the duet. Such fun the two of you had!

Elssa,
I, too, love those old standards. Stardust is an old, oldie. Great work!

Rick - "In the shadows of your love" is very nice song to start piano bar with, but your second one "Why in the world would you love me" is my favorite for this month.

Ladypayne, Augustina - Great job. I'm actually having problem to sync even with metronome, so I admire your ability to play duets.

Bill - I have nothing to complain about your singing or playing. Both perfect. Althought, this time the piano sounds very distant which makes it a little harder to follow.
And Duncan... even if there's no piano in it, I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for posting this one.

Elssa - Very enjoyable piece of music. Your playing is perfect.

TB - The Journey is just perfect and incidentally it sounds quite similar to my submission. Great work.

Riddler - Although I'm not really into jazz, I enjoyd your piece very much.

Euan - Berlin Song is really nice piece of music and in you case beautifully played

PianoU1 - I like this piece and your playing is very good. I was actually thinking about learning this by myself.

Nice rendition, Piano U1. Well done. Looks like you are having fun playing it, too - that is what counts. Thanks for sharing.

PianoU1 I really enjoyed listening to your playing. It was very smooth and flowed well. Definately sounds like a tricky piece. The final run up the keyboard was done so well smile

Bill, you are multi-talented. Nice job on the 12 string. Your son sings with you on this - what fun! Wonderful job all around.

Elssa, Stardust is another old favorite of mine. You and I seem to have similar tastes in music - I say that for just about everything you play. Great job spicing up this fairly simple melody.
