Hi, I got a response from an earlier thread about what piano to get. I like the Yamaha P155 but it's not available in white. Someone suggested I paint it white, which at first I thought was a joke and then I goggled painting pianos and people have.

Has anyone done this? Any photos as to what it looks like before and after?

Or is it better off buying a white piano?

I think in the beginning most keyboards were white and then someone had the idea to change that.

Ha!

I think if you could remove the paneling on the top (the wood colored part) you could easily spray paint that. Otherwise youd have to do careful hand painting. I guess if you were really into custom painting and wanted to make it a project you could open it up and remove the keys and mask off all the areas you wouldnt want to get paint on and go to town.

I think on reflection i would rather buy a white one if i want a white colour, i suggested as the p155 in white would be ideal but the korg and roland are tempting, the korg i know has a lid also and i can get the korg in white.
