There's Hamelin himself performing a part of it....I love the last section where multiple repeating melodies stack themselves up (where you have like 12 staves eventually playing simultaneously!), and then a few seconds of madness, and then the "fatal accident".

The handwritten score is fascinating to read!

Um personally I don't think it sounds all that good. Maybe that's just because I can't get over the fact that it is so ridiculous, lol.

Doesn't he specify that Circus Galop is a piece for player piano?

I think it's hilarious. I like when the main theme returns with all the glissandi! Sounds like a noisy casino, I think.

You're right! It DOES sound like a noisy casino! I imagine slot machines consistently whirring, lights flashing everywhere, some clowns frolicking about--wait, a second...I guess it sounds like clowns, because it's about clowns! Silly me...
