For those of you with an extra 80k-120k EURO and a very big room laying around, David Klavins is now offering to build his pianos to order... very interesting development. For those of you who do not know, the original Klavins 370 is a 12' tall upright built in Germany. Go to his website and look for a link to the 370-i.

I recently got my hands on a Klavins 370-i. No, it's not for my house. The version I have is a Kontakt plugin called The Giant. Some of the other pianos in my digital collection have minor, but noticeable, trouble spots. So far The Giant has held up its part of the bargain. Its built-in reverb leaves much to be desired, though. Its tails are heavy, not transparent like a Waves reverb.
