It's been a while since I've posted (practicing - piano and dentistry) but just wanted to invite fellow piano world forum members to my home on the evening of Saturday, May 19th.

My piano teacher, Alan Wasserman, will be playing his program in preparation for his June recital at the Weil Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. My room can hold about 45 people and I'm not yet sure how many people Alan will be bringing, but I assume we should have room for at least 20 more people or so - possibly more.

I am located in Farmingdale, NJ - about 10 minutes south of Freehold. I've already spoken with Rich Galassini about spreading the word. I'm looking forward to meeting some of the people from the area. If anyone is interested please let me know as soon as possible.

- George

Hmmm... an evening with a Bosie 290 in an intimate setting with at least one world class musician in attendance - I'm in George! Your location, between Philly and New York is ideal.

For anybody within spittin' distance of Freehold, NJ, George has a great setting for as piano party! I spent the evening with him after the delivery and what started as a quick visit wound up being a full night of music, piano, and good conversation.

Here is George at the piano. I hope lots of PW people will be able to make it.

George,
I'd like to come. We can have a "Heart and Soul" duet while Rich cringes.

Thanks!

Joel,

Sounds good, bring your piano too - we can have a Heart and Soul head-cuttin' duet duel... or something like that.

I received your email - directions are on the way. BTW, my amplifier should finally be here from Spain by next month, so my audio system will be up and running.

Boy,

I was hoping for a little more response from Philly and NYC types here.

Come on people! I would love to meet some more of you in person.

May 19th, eh? I'll have to check with the "boss" and see what the schedule looks like.

I'll may come as long as I don't have to play and embarrass myself. \:\(

Frank,

Four hours for a piano party around a Bosie Imperial? Sounds reasonable to me! ;\)

ok, here's the update. We're planning to have people come at 6pm for some wine and cheese and then begin the program at 7pm. I contacted Alan and he will be emailing me his program today or tomorrow. I will post the information as soon as I hear from him.

saxguy, how generous and gracious of you to open your music room for an event.

Will you allow your guests to play the stunning Bosie after Alan has completed his program?

Rich, thanks for posting the pic of saxguy playing his beautiful piano in a gorgeous setting.

Oh, definitely not - no one can touch the piano.

I'm kidding - of course anyone who wishes to play may do so. I, for one, will not be playing. I've heard Alan play and I'd be best off just letting the more experienced players do the performing.

I'll help hold him down. I have an extra Hannibal Lechter restraint mask that my wife uses on me when she takes me to the mall.

I'm with you. I'd rather not play after a world class performer. It could only be worse.

However, after a few glasses of wine.... \:D
