Over a year ago I had purchased for myself and a relative as a gift two DVD titles from Willie Myette's jazz piano lessons site --- MISTY (2disc set) and DANNY BOY (2disc set). My relative wasn't interested in going this route on piano and so I never sent him the DVD's. Since I have my own set I was curious where I might be able to sell - at a great discount of course - these 4 DVD's that have never been played? Where might the best place to go for anyone interested? Thanks for any advise. http://www.jazzpianolessons.com/product-details?c=16241http://www.jazzpianolessons.com/product-details?c=16216

That's the slickest ad I've seen in years...

I was waiting for someone to get their shorts in an uproar. First, I have nothing to do with Wyette's piano lessons or site. I actually purchased this stuff from him a year ago and have the receipt to prove it. I figured, I guess wrongly, that maybe someone had some experience in unloading unneeded music material since this is a piano site. The reason I added the links to what I purchased was in case someone was not familiar with his stuff since their are tons of it out there.
Mark, I'm not taking offense at all just letting you know that it's not an ad! I just thought I might get an advise or two where the best place to unload. If I can't sell it, I will just donate it to the library or a school - no big deal.

I do wish the forum had some kind of cheaper classified ad section, where we could sell/buy used low-ticket items like sheet music, DVDs, stuff like that. The classifieds section here it too expensive to serve that purpose, and is generally so dead anyway that I never bother to look at it. Am I being out of line to suggest that the classified section here has priced itself out of usefulness, considering that we live in the days of craigslist?
A couple of other music forums I've participated in have classified ads sections for members to sell used gear to each other (usually free), and they are a major draw to the site and, and of great benefit to members. How many times have you bought a DVD or sheet music, checked it out, and decided, "Nope, not for me...". This way we could pass these items on. I've picked up some great instructional DVDs that way.

You are right this site could use a free or very inexpensive classified area for cheaper items. The classifieds here seem mostly geared to pricey pianos.
