There have been and still are people who post on here that seem to know much more about the piano business than they would if they were just consumers. Yet they show no affiliation in their posts. These are the people that I find far more dangerous because they have greater potential to mislead others.
Eventually, those people wise up or go away.
Ken
Ken, I hesitate to say this, you being a moderator and all, but since we've now entered the summation phase of this thread and it doesn't really matter, Don't you think "dangerous" is a bit harsh? I don't find turandot dangerous at all. In fact, when he gets all indignant, he's kinda cute . . . Mike

I bought my Estonia 190 in 2004. It was the best purchase of my life. 2003 for me, but I agree, same here.

Sheesh - is this stuff still going on? Why anyone would get upset over a piano who only makes a few hundred a year is beyond me? It's a wonderful piano folks - just deal with it!!!!

"nice piano with a very lyric tone, probably over-hyped on this forum, a bit pricy due to limited production and status as a hot-ticket item. Compare it to X,Y, and Z and make up your own mind. Don't make a decision based on one audition in a showroom." Sounds like a pretty sensible summation to me. For my part, I never fell for the brand. It just didn't move me. I can say the same about a number of other brands as well, ones that have a few passionate defenders here, but who lack the same level of vocal push. I guess that leaves me inclined to see Skeptical's point about over-hype. When I see it here, I just let it flow over me. Water off a duck's back, I guess.
