Can anyone give me a rough ball park figure of what it may cost to rent a 7' grand piano for a concert event?
Thanks.

Yes, companies that rent them. Try your local Steinway or Yamaha dealer, or ProPiano.

Over here I've played jobs where the caterer had to hire a grand piano. It wasn't a seven footer, probably six feet or so. I asked him what the charge was and was told €425 or €450. This was a one day rental of a baby grand piano and was about two years ago.

I would think between $400 and $600 would be reasonable. I've learned however that my definition of reasonable is not the same as someone else's.

It will also depend if you are counting moving or not. That could be $400 or more without the rental.

That's what I was thinking. I really don't know anything about rental prices, but just moving a 7' grand back and forth would be $600-800 or more(I think).

"or more" especially if there were access problems (more than a couple of steps, sharp turns, etc.)
