Glen, I don't frequent an embibery, so I'm not certain what if any music is played there. If you're playing, though, I'll change that habit. Pathetique is always a treat. Thanks.

Ed, you sure lose the bass with those cheap cassette recorders, huh? That recording is the epitome of fun. I remember about that time, I heard what I thought was the most amazing jazz set ever at a local jazz party. Ruby Braff on cornet with Dick Hyman on the Hammond. They only played about three or four pieces, and I cannot recall what they were, but the audience was definitely wowed. I sure wish I had a recording of that night. I remember Hyman played an introduction to the first piece that sounded like something from an old Bela Lugosi film. Very ominous. He brought the house down. We were literally rolling with laughter. Then they got serious and blew us all away.

That was terrific, Ed! Love these Latin/syncopated rhythms. Was that your own arrangement? My idol as an organist growing up was always Ethel Smith. Here she is, playing Tico Tico on her Hammond:

Our church organist would not approve of playing an organ in those pumps (stilettos for those who don't parlez American). Hmm, but it would be kind fo fun to see him try!
Ed - I loved Tico Tico played on that Hammond! It sounds to me like you are having a ball with it - throwing in some fantastic syncopations - what a gas!

Glen, another of my favorites. Strangely enough, the first time I heard this song was on the same night as the Ruby Braff/Dick Hyman performance I mentioned in a previous post. A lesser known singer called Sue Raney was on the bill, and this was one of the songs she performed that night. Wow, what a performance!! I've loved this song ever since.

Wonderful arrangement, Ed! Right, no internet back then, but we had electric organ clubs around here (before most of the organ companies like Conn went out of business), and I miss them dearly.
Here's me and Augustina's duet for the month so far Sorry for any mistakes on this one. It was a bit more difficult to keep the rhythm with each other on this duet than some of the other ones :P

It sounded good to me - but does it really end that abruptly or did the video just cut off? I guess for something called Corpse Bride perhaps an abrupt end is what to expect!!
