Biggest spinet I have seen for a while...

I don't usually care to play a "spinet" but could consider this one: http://austin.craigslist.org/msg/3873125932.html

That's what happens when a piano is lubed with anabolic steroids rather than ProTek.

Thanks for telling me. I was wondering where the keyboard was.

I was curious about what a spinet was:

"spin·et
/ˈspinit/
Noun
A small harpsichord with the strings set obliquely to the keyboard, popular in the 18th century.
A type of small upright piano"

SO, are both correct terms? A spinet is a small harpsichord, AND a small piano-- or do you technically have to call the later a 'spinet piano' to make a distinction?

Nothing wrong here, except that anyone using search won't find this one, because the seller didn't use the word piano in the title.

In today's age, a spinet will be a small vertical piano. It is generally shorter than a console model and has a different type of action. Only in musician circles, especially in early music performance, will the term be understood as a type of harpsichord.

It is one of those words whose usage has evolved.

We suspected that Baldwin had been on the cutting edge at times, but a removable soundboard? Who would have thought?

The removable soundboard is impressive. However it may not be as good as the iron soundboards that are sometimes advertised on Craigslist!

I Love It !!!

That's a great price too. It would be perfect for a powder room off of a teaching studio.

An impressive work of art, sadly relegated to the funnies thread.

Seems overpriced, but OTOH it is THE perfect piano.

He obviously didn't look up the definition of "solid" before writing this ad. Yuck!
