Because I like being happy, and piano makes me happy. Plus, I get to practice Rondo Capriccioso, and I might get to play in a masterclass soon laugh. What makes other piano people out there happy?

The laughter of children, a freshly cut lawn beneath my toes, puppy dogs, oh, wait...
those are what make other people happy! They actually give me migraines.

I'm happy when my piano responds to my touch in new and interesting ways!
Sometimes that involves using puppy dogs with a prepared piano. frown

Aw, doesn't the fact that you get to play Rachmaninoff concerto 4 (or is it 1?) make you at least a tiny bit happy? Heck, look on the bright side, at least your hands aren't broken or something smile

Right now some sun would make me happy. It is so dark and rainy and I have such a headache. I love the sun.

It makes me laugh when my hands get sweaty enough to do the octave gliss perfectly by the time I reach the coda of the Waldstein's third movement. It doesn't normally work on my piano at home.

"Let the Happiness In" - the last song on David Sylvian's first solo album, after he left the amazing band, "Japan"
This album (Brilliant Trees) was released way back in 1984, and I still have it as an LP.

One of my favorite songs of his. If you have a few moments to relax and listen to this, it may or may not make you happy, but it's a wonderful composition.

Sitting down and playing a perfect rendition of any piece. Several pieces are good enough to bring a smile to my face on their own, though.

This video makes me happy. Seriously. It will make you happy too.

Yes that is very true.. I think I'm doing 1 for now, and I'll do 4 in my DMA.

Ok I'm happy because today I'm booking my flight for September to see my boyfriend. Yay! Just in time for our anniversary.

Playing well a piece that I love. The first time I played the Bach E minor Sinfonia without any major mishaps, I actually had tears in my eyes. (And I'm man enough to admit it.)

Mmm... Sitting in the sun. Playing beautiful chords... Hearing a good rendition (of anything) Seeing others being happy. Finishing a hard problem. Working out an idea to solve that hard problem. Taste of black berry jam

"The laughter of children, a freshly cut lawn beneath my toes, puppy dogs, oh, wait..."

Yes these too except the oh wait :-)

"After 30 seconds you'll think I'm being sarcastic"
I thought that after just 5 seconds ;-)

some things that make me happy shouldn't be discussed here, but as to piano: hear a recording of one's efforts and think: hey, that comes close to what I meant.

I was just making clear that the 'life is so wonderful' statement sure doesn't apply to everyone. As soon as you leave your safe protected country, you get to see alot of things.
