You guys are tripping, that thing looks nothing like a fish. In fact, it doesn't look like anything other than two concentric circles and a triangle, with white outlines.

NOBODY KNOWS!

Or at least I don't. smile

Except maybe to inspire funny fish stuff. ha

Looks like phishing bait. smirk

Plenty of fish here...

I'll figure it out eventually.
Until then you may want to keep a safe distance.

Boy, Mark, you really opened a can of worms with this thread. I can't hold you completely responsible though because, after all, we took the bait.

Yes -- As they say, "Sometimes a concentric circle and a triangle with white outlines is just a concentric circle and a triangle with white outlines." smile

LOL, Mark!

Is not the brilliant design of this little logo meant to say, "[See this arrow? See this button?] Click Here!!!" ...and all communicated efficiently and effectively in as long as it takes you to glance at the little visual masterpiece? Advertising manipulation extrordinaire! smirk eek mad sick frown

LOL right back at you! smile

To tell the utter naked truth (so to speak), it looked to me like some kind of stray smiley that had somehow gotten on there, and I tried mightily to edit it out of my post till I realized everybody's posts had it. ha

Seems that ever since "the fish" appeared here, clicking around for me on this forum is PAINFULLY SLOW. So I dunno if it's da fish or my computer...anybody else?

Yes, sometimes the forum pages look like they are constantly loading, even though they have clearly loaded.

Someone get rid of this annoying fish - it's distracting. I'm going to have to create a signature so it banishes it far away from what I'm actually posting.

I don't think it's the fish. smile I've noticed the site being slow on-and-off at times, including in the last few days, and I think going back to before we had it. But I'm not sure about it.

Yes, Mark; I agree. The occasional sluggishness of this site pre-dates - by many moons - this new mystery icon/symbol.

Regards,

Today, for a few seconds, the icon I have in my "most visited" bar in Mozilla for the Pianist Corner changed to another icon, which is still part of PW, but is different. It was the one usually associated with the PW Picture File Upload... Then it went back to the normal icon.
Strange things are going on with icons in this corner of the world...

Next thing: We all unexpectedly get changed into one another.
Or our own opposites.
'Parallel universe' and stuff, or whatever they call it..... ha

This little icon is a link to the "Share This dot com". It is very annoying. It was either added to PW by the admin/owner or was added by a hacker. Unless the webmaster deletes it soon I must conclude it is there with Frank's permission.

THANK YOU!
I was wondering if maybe it was stated somewhere else on the site. But I figured even if it had been, it would have been mentioned on this stupid thread too. smile

Maybe the powers that be decided this thread was too creative to botch with facts...?

It is in the middle of the Dolmetsch Online site too now, leading to Blinklist...
