This is completely unreal, but it looks legit. I love this guy's attitude. Someone posted a comment about pedaling - it sounds like the piano's sustain pedal is just locked down.

He's good but that looks like a stencil piano. Probably a Steinway with a Chinese label slapped on.

I was just going to start a thread about this! I haven't seen an article in English yet, but the Japanese translation of the Chinese said that this young man, who is 23 years old now, lost his arms in an accident at the age of 10. He touched one of those high voltage wires while playing frown He had also wanted to become a musician, and he just decided not to give up. The article mentioned that the first teacher he tried to learn from told him it was impossible and he (the teacher) wouldn't waste his time. Also, the article said that a lot of people tried to discourage him early on.

Now he's trying to figure out ways to do new techniques, like play octaves. Wow!!

Really inspiring! And I am certainly glad he never took the advice of all those people who told him he should give up before he started.

Edited to add: Oh, this link has English subtitles, unlike the one Mr SK found.

I am reminded of the artist who paints with her mouth, Joanie somebody or other, I think. It shows tremendous determination and spirit. Bravo!

This is the most inspiring person I have ever seen. I haven't cried so much from a video ever before. Americas Got Talent blows chunks compared to this show. No wonder the Chinese are taking over the world.... while American kids sit around playing video games, Chinese kids learn to play piano...........with their feet.
