Dang... We're really getting off topic, aren't we? Oh well, threads like this well really help your post reach 10,000 before your 1 year anniversary here! laugh

So yeah. About that Alkan. Neat stuff, hmm? How about that first movement to the violin sonata? After the intro, when the tremolo in the piano starts, it just becomes so glorious! Mark C, this could be the theme song (er, I mean piece) to the show.

BTW....not knowing what it is, I would have guessed "Bruch," then changed it to "Mendelssohn," with a "maybe" for Beethoven.

I would agree it sounds like a cross of Mendelssohn and Beethoven too. laugh
