Hey all!

Glad to see the forums thriving and all well and excited about learning the piano!

I recently discovered the fastest way to learning piano or keyboard, and like you, we were surprised by result!

You can find out the answer (a must see for any beginner) on our blog by clicking here

It would be interesting to find out your response, what have you found to be the fastest way of learning the piano? As after all everyone is different. Some prefer traditional some modern and increasing a mix!

Whatever works for you keep doing it!

Tom

Many Moons ago I went for my first Classical Guitar lesson, one of the first things my Guitar teacher said was "I can't open a Magic Box and you leave here being able to play the Guitar, it's all about your hard work, practise and with my guidance you'll get there...eventually".

Basically, there's no short cuts to learning to play a complex musical instrument.

How about this, why don't you post a few chapters and video tutorials from your book for free here, people can try it out and determine if it actually works.

I guarantee what you are teaching is nothing new, just packaged slickly like an infomercial.

I went and looked and recognize what's being offered, it looks like it is pianoforall. While I've never used pianoforall, i have heard of it and thought it was quite highly regarded. Just spamming on the boards isn't good though.

I doubt Robin from PianoForAll has anything to do with this. He does have a very good program though.

If you click on his link, learn-the-piano.com read the very top banner. It appears to indeed be pianoforall frown

Dear all!

Thanks for your replies, and thanks Piano world, for providing these excellent boards.

I am sorry, if I came across as spam, or blatent advertising, if you did check out my blog you would see its not all advertising, and we did indeed find learning online the fastest way to learn.

However I appreciate that many of you see selling online packages as non-traditional or "Spammy" so for you I apologise for posting, and hope I didn't annoy to much.

Wizard of oz, suggested posting chapters online for free, this would allow you to "Evaluate the program", which I am sure lots of you would like to do!

it is against the forum rules to advertise in your posts. Your belief that your product is "excellent" or "fast" doesn't actually make it less like advertising. You can pay for an ad if you like. For more details see the forum rules - at the top right of this page.

Tom,

No advertising means just that. It does not mean you can apologize for advertising by doing MORE advertising. You're welcome to participate in the forums but you are not allowed to turn every post into a reason to send people to your web page.

Why is this thread still here? What bothers me Tom, is that from the opening you appear to be a genuine beginner who has found a good way to learn piano. This I feel is unlikely to be true.

Can a moderator please tell me why this thread is allowed? I am genuinely curious.

But then, the underlying question becomes, "Is the fastest way to learn the piano, the best way?"

Would I still have to practice, or could I just pay for your course and become a virtuoso? I bet I could do it with very little effort - like 10 seconds a day? Is there a money-back guarantee if I fail the level 8 ABRSM exam next month?

"It's like learning to play the piano." There's a reason the piano is the default example of something that requires continuous effort. I'd say there's a balance between maximizing your practice time to overcome specific difficulties and allowing yourself to enjoy playing and the process of learning.

You can't ever check off "learn piano" on some to-do list. It's either something that is part of your life or it's not.

Hi - Robin Hall here from Pianoforall. Was just on the forum and saw this thread. Very sorry if someone has been spamming the forum.

I honestly know nothing about it. I have affiliates who promote my course and I'm afraid some of them haven't a clue about responsible advertisng - I will try to sort it out.

I'm sure you can see that I never spam because I have been a member of the site for quite a while now and I haven't pushed my course once. I have recommended this forum to a lot of people. Anyway - sorry again. Robin

Well I really found a technique that sped up my learning at least by 50%. It s called the RA-technique.

It is quite unorthodox and struck me as weird first, but once I got around what the essence is, I made tremendous progress.

There's an instructional Youtube-Video from the guy who invented the technique. His english is a bit odd, but I think his instructions are easy enough to follow. The key is not to give up too early.

50% is not really very much though. chang has proven mathematically his method is something 10,000 times faster.

Well, I don't know if I can believe that, because
I am no stranger to the piano... I know the rules and so does this RA-guy. I don't know if a full commitment is what Chang is thinking of, because you just don't get this from any other guy, you know?

Well... eventually that's just what I'm feeling, and I got to make people understand.
