Hi there,

i own the piano since half a year and from the beginning i was using GP2 sound as it pleased my ears very much. now ive noticed it has no bass but the GP1 does. problem is, that the GP1 sounds waaayyy too muffled to me, even on bright with soft touch. id love to have the bass of the GP1 and the clearness and brightness of the GP2. now combining is not an option since it sounds like a hermaphrodite imo.

is there any chance to upgrade this dp and get additional piano sounds? like with the roland SN upgrade or via computer? do you others think that its too muffled too? and last, can i put external speakers to this piano?

also, i heared rumors that the p85 has a better gp1 sound than the p155. i that true?

thanks,
ben

The only way to upgrade the sound of the P155 is to connect to a computer and run a software instrument on the computer. But this is not really an upgrade s the P155 is not modified.

What you don't like might be due to the speakers and not the internal samples. Have you tried using some high quality studio type headphones?

hi chris,

i have 50€ headphones its the roland rh-5 i dont know if u mean this by hq studio type headphones. using them only solves it a little, i still can hear a big difference between gp1 and gp2. i think its the samples cause it CAN sound good in the higher range notes even with the inbuilt speakers (with gp2).
so theres no chance to really upgrade the piano if i understood you correctly. what a pitty.
