So, I've moved into my own place this year, sophomore in college, and I can't really work piano lessons into my schedule this year. Because of this, I can't access practice rooms through the university, as I need to be enrolled in lessons as a non-music major to do so. I have no real access to a piano at all right now.

I'm looking for something that maybe won't replace a good grand, but would offer a decent substitute and let me continue improving my technique/musicality. Looking for something in the 500-700 range.

I have access to a Steinway at my hometown in my parents house, but I only get their every once in a while and on breaks as its four hours away.

Also, I'm not interested in having a ton of bells and whistles and synth sounds... just having a strong grand piano replication is all I'm really looking for.

look at Casio PX130/330, which you may find in Guitar Center or the similar stores. try it at the store first.

http://www.casio.com/products/Musical_Instruments/Privia_Digital_Pianos/PX-130/

it would be cheaper if you buy it at store or online.
