Yamaha P155! I bought it on Saturday at the local Guitar Center. It was between the Casio Privia 330 and this one. Yes, a big difference in price points but I mainly chose it based on feel. The best part was that when the salesperson went to the stock supply to get my box they were out. So he sold me the floor model at a discount for $899! It was even in the mahoganey style that I liked. I've spent a lot of time playing it the past two days to the point where my right hand is a bit tight. I previously had the Casio WK200 76-key keyboard so I will have to build up so muscle to play this one comfortably. But this will help me with my lessons greatly as I was having some difficulty learning on the teacher's acoustic but practicing on the Casio's softer touch. Since much of my research was gathered from these forums so I want to thank everyone who contributes a piano review. They're very helpful! I'm now learning about the Standard Midi Format and how I can upload backing tracks into the instrument. Any information into that realm would be greatly appreciated.

Congratulations, teelions! smile I'm guessing you'll be quickly gratified and amazed at what a difference 88 weighted keys vs. 76 unweighted keys makes. thumb

Congratulations!! I also purchased a P-155 this year and I really like it. I'm sure it will help you a lot and be a big improvement over what you had, and don't worry about the heavier keys you'll get used to it in no time. smile

I also started out on a keyboard, and upgrading to a DP with better key action made playing much more fun. But don't let your hands get too sore in in your obsessive focus on the new instrument -- I've been there & done that, and it didn't end well.
Please step aside. You're standing in your own way.

That is a great piano. What a great price too! As far as I'm concerned there are no digital, or acoustic uprights for that matter, that beat the Yamaha GH action in precision, feel, and durability. My PF-500 has the exact same action and has been going strong for 8 years!

That's a really nice DP. Congratulations! Yes, it is way better than the Casio (I have a Casio bought because it was cheap). You chose well.
