anyone know any piano teachers that teach by ear in Northeast Mississippi. I take lessons (classical). But would like to learn boogie woogie, blues by ear. Any suggestions

thanks

I say this every time, but find people who are already doing what you want to do, and talk to them.

you probably want a jazz pianist who specializes in improv

Find your local University and see if they have a jazz school and ask for a referral from them maybe one of their master class students or teacher's aids or something.

Heres whats funny, the basics of that stuff you can buy some DVDs off the internet that are just as good as the real thing (barring personal correction ofcourse).

Look that up on Youtube and see what the readers comments are saying but thats at your own risk and I would do additional research on the guy claiming to know his stuff.

Have you heard of hubpages? www.hubpages.com

If you go on there you will find lots of useful articles relating to learning piano. I use it all the time.
