Should we have a private forum that can only be viewed by members? Some boards have one... Just a thought that sometimes goes through my mind...

Most boards that have a private forum do so for particularly sensitive topics.

I am curious as to what you see as the content/raison d'être for such a forum?

Off the top of my head I don't quite see how it would be helpful or useful.... maybe I am lacking in imagination this morning?

Most discussions I have seen in private forums could actually be made public, they are totally harmless.
Others... well, I don't know because I have no access to them and don't feel like registering for new boards.
I personally don't mind. It is just that I think apart from the flute board all boards have a private forum, but it is true that most are not really necessary.

Honestly, I can't see that one is necessary here.
Maybe others feel differently.

Maybe you're thinking of all the flaming dissonance we see on an occasional topic and hoping like me some of it will go away.
