Hello, I am looking to replace my current setup of a Fatar controller + 3 piano modules and 2 monitors.
I play mostly classic rock and blues, and write songs in that genre and play a little jazz ocassionally.
The number one thing that intrigues me about these boards is the 27 pound weight, because I would like something portable.
I happen to like the GHS action as I was considering purchasing a YDP-140, but am going away from it as I will need to move in the next year and it will be a hassle for me.
Although I tend to like Korg samples better, I felt as though the GHS was a little stiffer which i liked, than the Korg NH action.
I really liked playing the M50 workstation with the RH3 action and loved the sounds as they seemed a decendent of my older beloved Korg SG rack sounds.
However, at $500 and not having to carry the fatar, I am beginning to think that one of these two pianos would be good for me.
Has anyone purchased either? THanks!

I'd buy which ever keyaction you like best
While I always think the stage pianos are better values, don't discount the YDP just because you are moving. Download the YDP user manual and look at the assembly instructions in the back The YDP is really a slab on a stand, mechanically no different then my P155. The slab is attached to the stand with four machine screws. a few more screws and the stand folds flat. You can look in the manual and decide how much work it would be

LOL I'm considering the exact same DPs. Am looking for a stage piano under 500 euro in addition to my Roland HP203. Yesterday, I went to the store and tried the Yamaha P85, P95 and Korg SP170 and SP250, Roland FP-4 and FP-7. Here are my thoughts:
P85: The key action is quiet good. I little lighter than my HP203. However, the volume is not that loud. I found it (the low volume) a bit disappointing. Other than that, the GP1 and GP2 sounds were good, typically Yahama, but a tad too clear in my opinion. This one is listed for 550 euro.
P95: The keyboard has improved a little from the P85 and I really liked it. It was a little heavier and had a good fallback response. Also I liked the sound better than on the P85, but it might have been psychologically ;)This one is listed for 650 euro.
SP170: I liked the key action a bit better than on the P85. Some call it "spongy" but I didn't experience it as that and actually quiet liked it. The sound however, was (a little) above average. I didn't really dislike it, it was a bit "dull" (i don't know the exact term for it) but preferred the sound of the P85/95. Also, the fact that there are no control buttons, made it a little hard to use. Not impossible, but a bit weird. However, the price of this unit does makes it a very good piano and the price/quality-ratio is very good in my opinion. This one sells for only 480 euro.
SP250: I didn't like this one at all. I can't really discribe it, but I didn't get a nice feel out of this one. The sound was not bad, but the rest was very close to the SP170 but for 200 euro more.
FP-4: I just love the key action on every Roland. It's very close or even better than my HP203 and great sound. However, due to it's price (1250 euro) not an option for me.
FP-7: Aaahh yes, I probably shouldn't have touched this one. The keyboard is amazing and the sound is even a bit better than the FP-4. Also for me, not an option because it's listed at 1650 euro.
To sum up, since I'm also looking at second hand piano's I'm more likely to find the SP170 and P85. If I would come across a nicely priced P85, I might buy that one over a SP170. However, in my opinion, the P95 does have all the positives of the SP170 (nice key action) and P85 (nice sound) combined. So at the moment I'm considering to wait a little longer to save up and buy a new P95.
Well, these were just my thoughts on the piano's. Hope it helped a little.

Just wanted to let you know that I bought the P-95. I went back to the store and compared the P-85 and P-95 again. I could confirm what I've experienced before. In my opinion, both the piano samples and the key action have improved just a little. Now I must say that the improved key action is very minimal and you might not even notice it. But the piano sample is noticeable. The P-95 seems more "full" than the P-85. Is it worth the extra 150? That's for you to decide. I just couldn't find a second hand P-85 and got tired of waiting
