High speed trains? Wow. China must have changed so much since I was there in 1999-2000. I think it took me 41 hours to get from Kunming to Xi'an. I loved the country but I'm not sure I want to go back and see the change.

Heyhey Everyone,

I'm new to Piano and this forum. I'm turning 34 this year and I have only attended 2x adult piano lessons. My daughter (6YO) started her lessons 2 weeks earlier. I cant wait for my piano to arrive! I can't practice anything yet right now so it kinda sucks lol. Will share my piano soon as it arrives!

Yeah I love it smile We are two storeys up and this is our backyard- native Kauri rainforest. An popular flightpath for native birds goes right past this window and I can hear our stream from here too. So peaceful!

My photos aren't that good but I've revamped things recently to make videos come from a better angle, and be able to see videos directly at the piano.

It was really hard to get the camera arm going the right way and I went from this:

to this:

I borrowed liberally from Jytte's ideas here. And thank you! smile

I already have two monitors and no extra port for the third monitor that I wanted to have. I finally settled on a USB-powered monitor that does its stuff virtually. It's a bit quirky. You're looking at whatever on the screen, and suddenly it vanishes and pops onto the main monitor. It reminds me of when the kids were small and had hamsters. The thing would go scurrying away so you'd have to grab it and put it back down where it belonged.

I don't know that I'd want a Monitor that behaves like a hamster laugh But when no other options are available, it's a great way of getting an extra monitor for the piano.

That's basically it. My work monitors are big because I need a lot of room. The only other option other than having some expensive additions to the old computer, was a splitter. You end up having the same image on both monitors (monitor 1 would be coupled to monitor 3). But then the monitor on the piano would have to be the same dimensions as the work monitor so I'd have this big monstrosity on the piano. Or the smaller monitor would impose its settings on the work computer. So I settled for the "hamster". I think the USB powered devices are still in their infancy.

Very jealous of some of your picturesque piano rooms. Oh to play on a grand with a view...

Here's my humble studio:

But you have great weather over there!

Will do some R&B for a while. Give the classical a break.

“Beautiful one day perfect the next"...Queensland motto

"God's Country"....unofficial New South Wales motto (even although it has been raining all day)
