Hi Jose,

yes, the guitar is really great for jazz. It's a nylon crossover with a radiused short scale neck that is fun to play. It's a Yamaha AEX500N. On Youtube there are a couple of videos where you can listen to the sound of the guitar. Unfortunately, the AEX 500N series has been discontinued. But you should definitely give it a try if you can get hold of a used one.

This is not my piano room but I thought it was kind of evocative. My brother snapped it in Leiden while visiting his daugher. I noticed the piano is a little hard to see in the uploaded shot. It's in the window on the right

What beautiful piano rooms! Thanks to all that posted photos. I especially like the Yamaha pianos (I'm a bit prejudiced). One of these days I need to get some pix of mine and post them.

Hi JimF!

Believe it or not, that runner was cut from a larger pattern off the shelf from our local quilt shop.

There is a later picture if I can find it somewhere showing our newer runner that was custom made by an Amish quilter who spent over 30 hours of labor on it! The process took 3 months from start to finish.

Not only is is nice to have a piece of fine craftsmanship on top of another fine piece of craftsmanship, but it give our cats a place to sit without scratching the finish.

P.S. Here is the newer runner.

Pretty!
Your cats sound very dignified and well behaved.

(Mine would have that runner on the floor scrunched up with all the rugs, and covered with cat hair!)

It is! We were very fortunate to get a great instrument like the C2X and to have a dedicated place to put it.

More than I ever thought we could have just a short year ago.

Here is my AP, which needs some bridge work. The bridge caps in the upper treble, just to the right of the upper strut, have cracked, separated from the bridge root and shifted slightly. Shouldn't be too difficult to take the string pressure off and re-glue the caps back into place. I need to do this before any kind of professional tuning. But realizing that the piano would be out of commission for the time it took to complete this, and I have never done this particular tech job on a piano before, I bought a Roland FP-50 to tide my over and have discovered how truly inhibited I was with others in the house hearing my less than entertaining performance.

I'm technically very capable. I love my piano and love tinkering with it.
