It strikes me that though plenty recommend finger/hand/arm warmups the vital eyes component is always left out. It also makes sense as the eyes are so much more active playing the piano than when reading normal prose. I got these exercises from the net somewhere:

1) With head facing forward focus on something far to the right.
2) While still focusing on it move your head to the left.
3) Do the same to the left, up and down
4) Place both palms in your eye sockets for a few seconds to rest them.
5) Feeling a bit queasy is natural - it goes away later.

Do this as a warmup just before you start reading any music at the piano.

that's a good idea to exercise the eyes. I notice that mine are aging. my piano glasses still work perfectly but i notice that mine do not focus as well after being on the computer. I also read that it is helpful to focus close and then focus far, repeatedly thruout the day.

Not sure what you're trying to "warm up". The extra ocular muscles?..the retina.. the optic nerve...the cortical processing pathways (ie brain) or the vestibular (balance)apparatus, that keep your eyes still when you move your head?
Either way, I'm afraid I think it sounds like a bit of a waste of time that would be better spent playing the piano.
If my eyes really do need "warming up" I'd rather watch my wife climb out of the shower, or more excitingly watch someone ele's even younger and prettier wife do the same!
Sorry if I'm throwing a wet blanket over your bonfire.

Why not try some speed reading techniques (text) modified for music notation? Those of Tony Buzan make a good starting point. Try this, away from the piano grab a copy of Beethoven Sonatas or similar size collection and read a 100 pages at 1-2 seconds per page. It's said that this will increase the size/chunk of information your eye takes in each "fixation". You'll find that you develop the ability to "snap-shot" groups of bars and phrases more easily. Use a guide such as a pencil and sweep it down to aid focus. Repeat daily for 2-5 mins.
