Does anyone know of published music for Piano and Viola that is fairly simple for the Viola (Second year Viola student?)

check the SheerPiano website duet section. there's Jazz/blues on the Red & Purple books and more classical/contemporary on the Blue. If that's what you are looking for we can definitely make for you the Viola duet fairly quick.

I truly think nothing can be easy on the viola, I think it's quite an impossoble instrument..

Plenty of stuff out there for Viola with Piano accompaniment.

Not sure what "2nd year" student means - you could be quite accomplished in that time - or could have progressed very little depending on all the usual variables.

I'm not sure I can remember what I played back that many years ago - but there are lots of pieces transcribed for Viola from original Violin of Cello music. Bach Cello suites for example was always popular (but may be a little too tricky depending on your skill level).

Try looking at ABRSM or AMEB syllabuses for whatever grade you're at if you're really short of ideas - they'll have a whole lot of pieces listed and pretty much all of them will have an acompaniment on Piano.
