I just found the Calisia brochure from the Western Europe distributors Frampol (owned by Calisia's Polish owners, Unitra) - should anyone be interested.. \:\)
http://www.frampol.de/frampol_files/others/calisia/calisia.pdf

It's better than the Polish-only descriptions on www.piano.calisia.pl ..

The reason they are not there is that nobody needs such a piano. A 6' to 7' foot piano can produce the most wonderful sounds and colors if you would try to produce them instead of thinking in extremes like bigger and bigger pianos, more and more keys, getting the loudest fffff out of a piano. This is a dead end road. Whenever I read your posts I have the impression that there are several things that you misunderstood about what making music means.

Best reagrds,
Jens

Here's a song on a 9\'2" petite grand and a 9\'6" baby grand (this one's cut off partway through the second verse) on which I like the sound of the low bass (and the rest of the piano in general, for the type of music being played). I can't get that really nice tone in the bass on anything smaller that I've played, and there's STILL room for improvement on those, even taking into account the "average" recording quality.

Jens,

Be nice to him, he's just in the "I need the biggest piano ever" phase. I'm sure he'll get over it at some point.
And by the way, I know of a 9 footer that produces the most wonderful colors, better so than most 6'-7' grands, but you didn't get to play it because it was getting tuned ;-)
