I mean I want to try using midi controller to compose and practice during travell time with my win7 laptop. I am not into soft synth so it has to be something very intuitive and plug and play. I don't care much about many features, sounds etc as I care about easiness of use. I am getting soon macbook so I'll be not limited to pc applications. thanks

As you're getting a MacBook soon, it's tempting to recommend waiting until then so you can start using GarageBand. Pretty damn easy to use with a few soft synth style things to play with. You can also install new soft synth plug ins. Many free ones and some very expensive ones. Seems a shame to buy a Windows based soft synth when you're moving to Mac

I use a windows note with several soft synths. For piano sound, I use TruePianos and Pianoteq Play. Both of them have Macversions. TruePianos is easy to use with good sounds. Pianoteq Play has a great versatility. I love both. But now, mainly I use TruePianos to make mp3s of the Well Tempered Clavier. http://www.geocities.jp/imyfujita/index.htmlTruePianos is good for Bach.

If easy of use is your main criteria, Pianoteq ranks highest of the ones I've used. I'm not terribly fond of the sound it produces, but that's subjective, and by every other measure it's superb. It's as plug-and-play as I've seen and it's quite solid. (It also works on Linux which is a plus for me.)

You're talking about synthesiser software not software pianos right? I'd second waiting till you try garageband, it'll be included with your Macbook and has some decent synths included. If you find Garageband too limiting you could get Logic Express very cheaply (I got a used copy on ebay for next to nothing) and that has some very sophisticated syths. If you do mean software pianos then I'll second the suggestion of Pianoteq which includes Mac and Windows and Linux versions in one purchase. The latest version really does sound superb. Take a listen to "La Campanella" here

What you want is Garage Band. It comes pre-installed on every Apple Mac. As for ease of use, It's just there already, click and go. GB also plays well with other third party plug-ins too. If ease of use is the goal, just swap out the whole computer. No, it's not expensive. People here are buying many hundreds of dollars for PC software and audio interfaces. All this is built-in on the Mac. And then there is resale value. You can sell used Macs for more then half what you pay for them. Total cost is lower if you just swap the entire computer
